Vénus, Ève, Flore, Marie-Madeleine pénitente … la liste des personnes qu’on représente en cheveux est assez restreinte. Le commun des mortels s’embourgeoise ou se veut respectable, les femmes, en tous cas mariées, ont une coiffure avec les cheveux attachés.
Quelques hommes, quelques époques, portent les cheveux longs, le Christ, dans la lignée spirituelle des prophètes, est le plus connu.
